Thornblade Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Greer, South Carolina.
The Thornblade Club golf course first opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Tom Fazio.
This private course is well maintained and said to be very beautiful. There are many trees lining the narrow fairways, and water hazards come into play on some holes.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,669 yards. From the forward tees, the course plays to 4,931 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 533 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 138 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 18, a 456-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Thornblade Club golf course is # 4, the 138 yard par-3. The signature hole is #1, a 439-yard, par 4, requiring both the tee and approach shots to be played over water.

This is a great golf course that can play easy to hard depending on the set of tees you choose. A word of Caution; if you choose the Haas tees, it plays long for the average Joe! The convenient location, great course design, and fantastic staff make this a first rate facility, but it does get expensive for visitors.

This cours plays tough, be ready to play some golf. The pace was awesome as there were no other players in sight and it seemed as though the course was ours. It's a little steep on the price but quality golf usually is. They do need a new cart girl as it is billed as a high end type place; but I'm sure that will change soon. If you can shot under 80 from the Haas tees on your first try, you can play some golf. Good luck Thomas Wright, a Bostonian on vacation.
